Do you like my hat?

I came out and found Kylie watching TV with the skirt to Kim's swimsuit on her head. She wore it on her head for quite a while before wearing it as a skirt then decided it made a better hat and returned it to her head. Our DVD/TV that we use in the car is now know as "Kylie's TV". She loves to lay on the floor in the dining room and watch movies. Her favorite movie is "Me-May" aka The Little Mermaid. Close seconds are Charlotte's Web 2 and Stuart Little 2.

Can I take your phone to school?

Background: On Thursday last week I forgot to pick Bradley up from school. I'd looked at my calendar and it had absolutely nothing on it and I thought great I can stay home all day and clean. Obviously I should have written down to pick Bradley up from kindergarten because the thought that I did have to go out never crossed my mind. Thankfully Bradley has been at the school weekly for the last 3 years and is very comfortable there. He ended up in the office and the office called me.

Fast forward to this evening: Bradley was doing his home work which included learning his phone number. He took my cell phone and learned how to call home. He's proud as can be that he knows how to call home.

His Question: "Mom can I take your cell phone to school so I can call you just in case you're late again?" Pretty good reason for taking my phone don't ya think! We got a good laugh out of that one.

Are you Tough Enough to Wear Pink?

The kids and I marched in the Rodeo parade with the Elementary School. They were to wear pink so here they are. I obviously missed Bradley in the pictures but he was decked out too with pink balloons on his headband. Only problem was it was too hot! I was grateful to get back to the car.

Fun in the Hot Tub

The kids have been having a lot of fun in the hot tub. Kylie is a fish. Thankfully she is finally tall enough to stand on the bottom. She will jump in, float on her tummy then swim to the step or get her legs under her and stand up. It is so cute to watch. No fear in her at all. She loves to jump off the side.

Running for Student Council Secretary

Bryce is running for Student Council Secretary. We're proud of him for trying. For the primary elections they can hang up 2 posters. We went with a High School Musical theme.

Labor Day Swim

Kylie is such a fish. She has no fear.
Bradley & Kylie swimming together.
Kim, Brad & Kylie.
Kim has got to be such a good swimmer this year.
Watch out for that shark. Kim & I were playing a game pretending to be a shark trying to get each other.
No fear in this girl. She was doing flips & cannonballs off the diving board.

Bradley had the best time. He wants to go back tomorrow.
Kylie kept me hopping trying to keep up with her. She loved the waterslide and would jump in the pool.
Bryce and his friend Jaden ready to jump in.
Brett & his friend Josh.
Watch out below!

We had a busy labor day. I spent the morning with Bryce's class cleaning up Brigham Road for their Adopt a Road project. It was really hot by the time we quit at 11:00. 2 hours in the St. George sun will wear anyone out. Bryce's friend Jaden came home with him after and they wanted to go swimming. All my kids wanted to go too so we ended up going to the City Pool. It was a lot of fun.

No Braces!

Brett showing off his nice straight teeth.

Just a little hike.... to go rappelling!

Brian had planned to take Brett and Bryce rappelling last weekend but Brett was sick so they didn't go. After breakfast this morning Brian said we should all go rappelling on a little hill not far from here. So we all threw on shoes and jumped in the car. Not a little Hill! 5 kids! One bottle of water! Nearly 100 degrees by the time we were back to the car at noon! What was he thinking? We survived but will definitely go better prepared next time! At least grandpa was in shape since he hiked Mt. Whitney earlier this month.
Bradley & Kylie waiting for the rappellers to come down.
Brett attempting to come down.
It looks like a long way down from up here.
I've had enough! Let's go home.
Brian showing how it is done.

Kim wanted to go rappelling but we didn't have a harness small enough. We've promised to get one small enough for her soon.
Kim & Brad having fun rock climbing.
I never did get a picture of Bryce he was off with his friend Matt ahead of all of us.
Kylie waiting with grandpa.
Enjoying the one bottle of water we did bring with us.
