Brian took me to a show last night. And can you believe that it was his idea! Brent Innes in our ward worked on the sets for the show and gave Brian a 2 for 1 pass. It was the musical version of the Rainmaker and was really well done. It reminded both Brian & I of the Music Man. We are blessed to have many places around here that provide quality entertainment at a reasonable price.

9 Missed Calls....
Tonight was ward temple night. I'm so thankful to have felt good this month. Last month I had that awful migraine and barely made it through. When we got out of the temple I had 9 missed calls on my cell phone. I called home to see what the "emergency" was. Kylie has an ear infection so imagined she had been screaming... But nope that wasn't it. The Walkers were having a party tonight and it had started at 6:30 and why hadn't I picked up my phone! So I raced home and took Brett & Bryce to the Walker's house - 2 hours late for the party. On the way thanking them for sacrificing so Brian and I could go to the temple which is ultimately much more important than a party. There was dessert after the temple session at the Jack's home but I ended up with the 3 little kids in the car because they are too young to leave home alone. I ran in, said hi and grabbed each of the kids a cookie and brought them home.

Date Night
Brian & I have been trying to go on a weekly date. Although we find it easier to go out in the afternoons most of the time.
Today we went to Olive Garden for a late lunch. We had a $25 gift card so we could eat for free! Free is good especially in this Real Estate market. But what do you eat at Olive Garden that doesn't have white sugar or flour? Not much! I did enjoy my Chicken Caesar Salad with no croutons and dressing on the side. Brian got my favorite... Fettuccine Alfredo!
Afterwards we rented the movie Eagle Eye and came home and watched it on our Clear Play DVD player. I love our clearplay DVD player. It cleans up all the sex, language and graphic violence. If you don't have one you should get one! Seriously they are so worth it. We enjoyed the movie. There was obviously a lot of language cut out and I don't know what else we might have missed due to editing but what we saw was good.

Christmas In The Canyon @ Tuacahn
Sam Payne
Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand
Peter BreinholtLast night Brian & I went out to Tuacahn to their Christmas in the Canyon show. It was a great show featuring 3 different artists. It was filled with Christmas songs, laughs and cold weather. Thank goodness for warm coats and blankets. I hadn't heard any of these artists before that I can remember but they were all fabulous and I highly recommend their music!

Big River at Tuacahn
Tuacahn's production of Big River was fabulous. Obviously Big River is no Les Miserables, I'm not sure much can compare to Les Miserables! But it was a very professionally done production that we really enjoyed. I think we are definitely going to see every production put on by Tuacahn from now on!
Unfortunately Brian got a new camera lens that we haven't quite got working. Most all of our pictures turned out like this one which is too bad because this one was with our favorite actors from Les Miserable & Big River! It was so fun to see the same cast perform an entire different show.
Tuacahn is an amazing place. I'm not sure there is any place like it any where else in the world. They did the most amazing thing to create the river. It was worth going just to see the stage transformed. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Water poured down a "river" on the mountain behind the stage and overflowed on to the stage. When they sang the song River in the Rain there was "rain". Great stuff that couldn't be done in an indoor theater!

They had some fun signs on the way up to the show, this is about the only one that isn't too blurred to be readable.

Les Miserables @ Tuacahn

Last Night Brian & I went to see Les Miserables out at Tuacahn. It was absolutely amazing! Wonderful story, wonderful music, wonderful acting, wonderful choreography...Guess you can tell I think it was wonderful. It was amazing seeing it outside and the weather was perfect. This morning I bought us tickets to go back and see Big River next month.
