Work It Wednesday
I'm in my bedroom today - deep cleaning. So far I've cleaned Brian's side of the room and cleaned and vacuumed under our bed. It was so dusty along the edges and under the bed. Wish I was half way but I'm not there yet so I better get back to work so I can be done in time to shower and get to the Relief Society dinner on time.

Work It Wednesday
I really do want this mat to place outside my front door. My house was clean last week. Really it was. I'm not sure what happened. Or why it always happens. My house can't seem to stay clean for very long.At least I've kept up on laundry. At most I have 2 loads that need washing, drying and folding. That is about as good as it gets because I have to do 2 loads of laundry each day to keep up with what the kids have worn on any given day.
Thankfully I have little on my calendar for the rest of the week. Other than running to pick up Kim's new glasses when she gets home today there is nothing else I need to go out for. I've got several good audio books to listen to so I better get off the internet and get to work.

Work It Wednesday
I'm grateful to be healthy again!
Today is a clean the house day. Laundry is 3 miles high & clutter is overtaking the living room. Those are my first 2 projects for the day. I've got a book on CD to listen to and nothing else on my list for the day. Hopefully I can keep from getting sidetracked and get the house back in order today. There are lots of other things that should be on the list too but I'm going to start with laundry & the living room get them done. I have 2 full baskets of junk to sort through sitting in the corner of the living room. Hopefully by day's end I'll have those all taken care of, laundry all folded and a book on CD finished.

Work it Wednesday
It's 4:20 and I've accomplished little except for some family history work. I'm working my way through mom's 48,000 names. I've matched up 3000 of them in family search so far. That's 1000 names per week. I love it and wish I could spend my whole day working at it.
However my house needs my attention. Today's job:
Scour the bathrooms
If I can get that accomplished before book group tonight I'll be feeling good.

Work It Wednesday
Today's task is to get the office cleaned and organized. Since it's now going to be an office/Kylie's bedroom I've got to find a place for everything. It's so bad right now I won't even post a picture! I've got a great book on tape to listen to and I'll hopefully stay on task and get it done today. I've also got to dig out all the paperwork I need to get the taxes done.

Work It Wednesday
I told Brian I was not going to do any family history today but rather spend the day cleaning the house. Then my Aunt Judy called with questions about family names and I opened up the family history programs and now here I am 2 hours later finally exiting out of them. I think I'm turning into my mother. She'd spend hours at the computer inputting and researching names. No researching for me right now but I'm getting better at the inputting part. I'm grateful she did so much work before she died. Again I'm beating myself up for not being more interested when I had the chance! At least she left me with plenty to do until I figure out how to do research.
Now I'm finally off to get my workout in and then clean my house!

Work It Wednesday
Today is a stay at home and clean day. The house looks like it was hit by a whirlwind. Dishes, laundry, clutter, plus the need for some good cleaning of things like bathrooms, floors, counters, etc.
My plan is to get my workout done and then be cleaning by 10:30. I've got a few audio books to listen to and will hopefully get a lot accomplished while listening.
At 4:30 I'm doing cub scouts at my house. I'm not the cub scout leader but they currently do not have one so I volunteered to fill. Bradley has been so excited to turn 8 so he could start cub scouts. He was so disappointed there was no leader and thus no cub scouts. He told me he wanted me to be his leaders so what could I do but fill in until they get someone called. Since I've been the Bear, Wolf & Webelos leader in the past I can do it in my sleep.
Then it's enrichment at 6:00. I signed up to bring soup which is good because then I'll be able to actually eat something. Nearly every soup last year looked fabulous but didn't fit in my no sugar, no refined flour diet. Brian got stuck working in the nursery so he'll be there with our 3 youngest kids while Brett & Bryce either come to help too or get to stay home and enjoy some quiet time (studying for Brett & computer games for Bryce).

Another Waste of a Wednesday
How in the world did it get to be 2 pm already?
So far I've accomplished very little unless you consider this an accomplishment: I went to Target to get 2 things - the shelves were empty. Went to Hallmark to use my $5 coupon and couldn't come up with anything that was only $5 to buy. I went to Walgreens to spend some of my register rewards that were expiring - there was nothing there I needed and no good deals on anything I wanted. I ended up getting several bags of stuff I didn't really need but since it didn't cost me anything out of pocket I guess it was better than letting my register rewards expire. Didn't even get out of the parking lot when Brian called needing me to pick something up so back in I went. I stopped by Smith's thinking there was something I needed to get there - got inside, looked at their ad and couldn't for the life of me remember what I needed so I left without buying anything. Went to Harmon's knowing I had at written down at least 10 things - too bad I left my list at home, when I got in there I could only remember 3 things I had written down, they were out of one, one thing didn't end up being a good deal and I got the other. 3 hours of shopping later I'm home and still need to go back out to Harmons sometime this week to get the things I actually did need there. It would have been a much more productive day if I had remembered my lists or even better just stayed home and got my house clean.
Now that I am home I am going to get my bathrooms cleaned today. It was on Monday's list and never got done. Then to come up with something for dinner, Brian was going to be out late with a client but he rescheduled them for earlier in the day so he could be home for dinner. So I should really come up with something healthy for dinner - it is supposed to be soup night - we had potato soup last week and turkey noodle soup the week before - any great ideas for this week? After that it will be a family movie - The Dog Who Saved Christmas - At least the redbox code worked so the movie was free (ACME26 - for anyone who is near a redbox and wants a free movie). Bryce should be walking in the door from school any minute so I better log off and and get something done.

Tackle It Tuesday... Yes I'm a day late.
The way our schedule is this year I'm often not home much on Tuesdays. Wednesday seems to be the day I am home all day with time to clean. So I guess this is really a Work It Wednesday but I like the name Tackle It Tuesday better. Mentally I just like the idea of "tackling" a project.
It past time to organize a couple cupboards. The chaos just keeps multiplying. The first picture is my hall cupboard and the second one is my bathroom cupboard. The lovely mess on the table is a combination of office clutter mixed in with a bunch of freebies I need to find a home for. The goal is to bring some sort of order to this chaos.

Work It Wednesday
I'm off to a slow start today. I just finished my workout and it is already 10:45. Yesterday was a crazy busy day and I feel like I'm recovering from it today. Plus I woke up with a pain in my neck after having slept wrong. It's so hard to be motivated with a nagging pain in my neck. I'd love to curl up with a book and read for a few hours but that's not going to happen.
Todays tasks:
Grocery lists & coupons printed
Pay bills
Kitchen cleaned
Bathrooms cleaned
I probably should add a few more things but those are the priorities for today and by the time I shower, get Kylie lunch and off to playgroup and finally get started I'll only have a couple hours before the kids start coming home from school.

Work It Wednesday
Today I am headed downstairs. We end up with lots of kids here most days. It's normal to have a dozen kids in my house after school and I just send them all downstairs. Unfortunately I'm not very good at making sure stuff gets cleaned up before dinnertime when I send everyone home. A few days of this is all it takes for the downstairs to look like a tornado hit it.
My goal is to spend a couple hours downstairs today cleaning and simplifying (aka giving stuff to the DI). Since a have a good book on tape to listen to the time should pass quickly.

Hooray for Having 5 Kids
5 Kids = Lots of Deductions & Tax Credits
It's tax day for me.
One week left but I decide to not procrastinate any longer.
2008 was a good year for us.
The best year Brian has had in real estate.
We usually owe State Income Tax because we don't prepay any of it.
There are not "child tax credits" that go towards state income tax so if we've had a good year we have to pay.
Thankfully we rarely owe Federal Tax because of deductions and tax credits.
We usually get a federal tax refund.
My hope is always that come tax day we break even.
That my federal refund will exceed the state taxes owed.
Last year when I deducted our Federal Refund from our State Tax due we owed $654 :(
This year I'm thrilled that when I deduct our State Tax owed from our Federal Refund that is on it's way I owe nothing.
In fact I'll be $1000 ahead!
It's a good day!
Assuming I did the taxes right

Work It Wednesday
Why can't my house stay clean?
Today's list looks about the same every other day...
Dishes, laundry, exercise, clean bathrooms, vacuum, etc., etc., etc.
The fun never ends!

Whirlwind Wednesday
I actually got up early this morning to workout. I had planned to watch one of my friend's kids this morning but she didn't need me so found myself with free time and I decided it would be a great day to get some errands done. I went to: Costco, Albertsons, the library, Smiths, the bank and dropped off a load of stuff at D.I. I got a lot done in the 3 hours I was out and about. When we came home Kylie laid down to watch a movie and fell asleep. Good think because I was exhausted too and have therefore enjoyed peace and quiet for the last hour.

Work Out Wednesday
It may take me all day to get my workout done at the rate I am going! I slept in this morning and can't seem to get anything accomplished today. The kids have early release and get out of school in 45 minutes so I really do need to get moving!

Waste of a Wednesday
Today is going to be slightly crazy and I'm not going to get much done. I slept in. Kylie woke up during the night and I'm trying to focus on getting more sleep so I pushed the alarm back and didn't get up and work out. So it's not 9:15 and I need to go do my workout. By the time that is done and I shower and get ready for the day Brett will be home. It's parent teacher conference so I have to head off to those and then all 5 kids have dentist appointments today. So I guess in reality I will get 3 things done today: workout, parent teacher conferences and dentist appointments.

Work It Wednesday
I'm off to a great start again today. Do you think it is possible for me to have 2 good productive days in a row? Usually I have a good day then a day or two of falling behind again.
So far today:
Got 4 points for exercising by doing Ramp It Up, Slim & 6 pack and 30 minutes on the treadmill.
Breakfast & Scriptures as a family
Read my scriptures
Clean the junk out of the suburban
Vacuumed under the couch cushions
Watched my friends baby for an hour and a half
Payroll
For the rest of the day:
Shower
Laundry folded and put away
Spend 45 minutes downstairs cleaning
Clean office again... it never stays clean!
Kitchen Clean
Dining Room Table Cleaned off
Hopefully I can get it all done before the kids come home!

Work It Wednesday
Although I have lots of things I could wash it's going to have to be a Work It Wednesday. Ah the list is growing! Working out and eating right makes me feel great but it also sucks up a good chunk of my day and leaves me with less time to get everything else done.
It's not too long of a list but it's going to take up my day!
Tackle the office project I never got to yesterday- Fold 2 loads of laundry
- Load dishwasher
- Go to the bread store
- Return books at the library
- Sales at Albertsons
- Kitchen Cleaned
- Bills Paid
It's not too long of a list but it's going to take up my day!
