When Brian asked me what I wanted for my birthday I told him I wanted to take the whole family to see The Little Mermaid. Weekends were all sold out and I didn't want to go on a school night so we waited until today because the kids have fall break starting tomorrow.
It was Phenomenal! So well done. Seriously if you haven't seen it I would tell you it is something you must see but the show ends next week and is completely sold out.
We stayed after and took some pictures and if I ever figure out how to get them off the phone and onto the computer I'll post them.
We got a kick out of seeing our neighbor Mike Pender in the show. He works on the stage crew and was in one of the scenes.

4 New Phones
We switched cell phone carriers yesterday and now have "smartphones". Amazing what a cell phone can do.
Brett has had a phone for a while but Bryce just got one. The phone was "free" with a 2 year contract but he had to chip in $100 towards the monthly charges. Kim & Bradley were not happy that they don't have phones. You'd think we were the meanest parents in the world because we told them they had to wait until they were teenagers to get cell phones... oh the drama and tears that followed. Thankfully Kylie doesn't want her own phone yet. She is happy to play the apps & games on my phone for now.
Brett got his phone at age 16. The plan had been to get Bryce a phone at 14. We would have waited but since I washed my cell phone last week and Brian has been using a piece of junk phone since his phone took a swim with him in Lake Powell this summer it was time for new phones. We're a couple months earlier than planned in switching cell phone plans so Bryce got lucky. I was teasing the kids saying Kim will have a phone at 12, Brad at 11 and Kylie will likely have a phone at age 8. That is so "NOT FAIR" but will likely be reality.
