It's always fun when Grandpa comes!

My dad came into town for my cousin Shannon's wedding.  While here he replaced our water heater, fixed our bathroom door and did some elecrtical fixes.  Seriously there is no better dad on this planet.  He is so good to us!  We love having enough hot water for everyone to shower.

Kylie insisted that she needed her hair curled because grandpa was coming.  She's sure growing up on us.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

No time for cake and ice cream on grandpa's birthday since we were gone from 6:30 am until midnight, so we celebrated with cake and ice cream today. I'm lucky to have such a wonderful father! Happy Birthday Dad.

Labor Day Weekend

We were lucky to have grandpa come visit us for Labor Day weekend. He always spoils us when he comes. A trip to Costco, pizza for dinner, BBQ Tri-tip, Beef Brisket, Wendy's for lunch, a movie, a trip to the dollar store and a hike kept us busy this weekend.

Grandpa came back through on his way back to California. We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Olive Garden and then went to visit Uncle Phillip. We sure do love having grandpa come visit.

Hiking & A Trip to Wendys

Grandpa came to spend a couple nights with us on his way back to California (to be here for Bradley's baptism). We decided to hike to the top of Webb hill and then go to Wendy's for lunch. Wendy's is a tradition when grandpa comes. He always takes us to Wendys and we get to order whatever we want (and eat until we're stuffed).

Lava Tubes in Snow Canyon

This morning we went out to Snow Canyon to do a short hike. The hike isn't too long and leads to a couple of lava tubes/caves.

Coming out of the biggest cave. We're glad we went early and we're back to the car by 10:30. It was a nice morning but it would have been too hot if we had waited until later. Then it was off to Wendy's for lunch on grandpa. He's headed home tonight and we'll miss having him around.

It's always fun when Grandpa comes

We love having grandpa come to visit. He drove up Friday for the long weekend and will go home tomorrow. We took the boat out to Sand Hollow yesterday for some tubing and cliff jumping. Yesterday afternoon we went to see Ice Age 3.

Golfing with Grandpa

Grandpa came to visit on his way to Idaho Falls for Christmas. He got here Friday night & left this morning. We love having him come to visit. After we went to Wendy's for lunch we all went minature golfing Saturday afternoon at the indoor minature golf course. My dad is always so generous to us! He took me to Costco and bought a few things, paid for lunch & for golfing. We wouldn't have much under our tree this year if it weren't for him! Thanks grandpa!

We're on Our Way!

We got up Sunday morning and headed to CA. We didn't want to hit any of the traffic heading back to LA from Vegas on Sunday afternoon so we headed out early to beat it. We made great time and got to my dad's house about 2 in the afternoon. We just visited with dad for a while and then Nancy & Adam came over for dinner. Dad BBQ ed Tri-Tip and Nancy fixed all the sides. Adam pulled all the seeds out of a pomegranate for us.
Nancy gave me the necklace I am wearing as a birthday gift. It has a bracelet that matches it too. Thanks Nancy.

Celebrating our 15th Anniversary a week early.

So in 15 years we have never left the kids and gone or done anything alone so it was finally time. We're taking a trip down to CA to visit grandpa. While we were there we left the kids with my dad for 2 days and 2 nights. Brian and I had got some great hotel reservations off of priceline and spent one day at Universal Studios and another day at Raging Waters. Universal Studios was a blast. Raging Waters was so crowded it wasn't all that fun. It was a great couple of days away!

The house was still standing when we got back to grandpa's house. Thanks dad for taking care of our 5 kids for us while we enjoyed a weekend away!

Grandpa Comes For Christmas

Grandpa got here Sunday night to spend Christmas with us. Kylie was so excited to see her PaPa as she calls him. Brian was giving bull rides to the kids and ended up standing on his head with Kim on his back.
