Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening we played THIS GAME from this months issue of the Friend Magazine. The boys then escaped to the office for some more gaming and the younger kids watched a movie and took care of their babies.

Land Party...err I mean LAN Party!

Several months ago Brian brought up the idea of having a "land party" with several of the boys he works with at church that are into computer gaming. I was a little skeptical of the idea and we could never get a date to work out so it didn't happen. A couple weeks ago he ran into one of the boys and they brought the idea up again. So Friday night one of the boys came over and installed software on several of our computers so that we could have a land party in our office. At 3 am Friday it was all ready to go. Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm we had 7 computers running while fun was had by Brian, Brett, Bryce, Bradley, John, Brent & JeanLuc (even Kimberly & Mitchell got in on the fun for a little while). The seriously sad thing is that 5 of the computers that were used belong to us! Brian has 3 work computers he brought home and we have 4 other computers here at home (2 of which are so archaic they aren't up to speed for computer gaming).
